I have been married to my wife, Kristin Stephens, for six years. We have a two year old named Milah. I had grown up as a pastor’s kid for many years and was very active in our youth group, Rocks in Flight, at the AG church. While in youth I placed first at the state level for fine arts for two years, and then I competed at the national level in Indianapolis, IN and Charlotte, North Carolina. I competed in the “Short Sermon” category. In 2005 I participated in a missions trip to Reynosa, Mexico. I am originally from Meridian, MS. In 2010 we moved to Dallas for my wife to attend college and because we felt led to move here. Currently, I work in the oil industry.
Since I was a young teen, I knew I was called to the ministry in some sense. We have a unique story in our beginning with The Lakes Assembly, and we knew that this was our church home after the very first service we attended. Ever since our first visit to the church, I had felt the need to be involved with the youth in some sense not knowing God’s true plan that is unfolding for my family and I. We have a vision for our youth to live up to its name “One Student Ministries.” A vision that houses a safe, loving and comfortable environment to which they can come and worship and be ministered to. My biggest push is to train up disciples that will not only grow in there own personal faith but go and share that with their peers.

I am married to my husband Matthew Stephens, and we have a two year old daughter Milah. My husband and I have been married for 6 years, and we share a special relationship that dates back to high school. I am originally from Tupelo, MS, and I moved to the Dallas area in 2010 with my husband to pursue a degree in the Marketing/Merchandising industry. I have always had a passion for creativity. Finally, in 2014, I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Merchandise Marketing. I hope to use my talents for God not only in the church, but in the job world as well. There are many souls that need to be reached and enriched, and the church is not the only mission field.
I have always grown up in a home that acknowledges and praises God, but it is awesome when He becomes real to you! I grew up with my grandparents being ministers who had a passion for the people God sent them to shepherd.
We aren’t new to church, but definitely new to idea of ministry. I am so excited about the doors that God is opening for us, and I am humbled that He would use us for His kingdom. We are excited to be working with the youth and have a passion to help them grow in their walk with God and for Him to become real to them! Matthew and I would like to use our personal relationship testimony to encourage teens to make Godly decisions. I also want to help direct and support our teens in using their talents and passions for God.
God has blessed us in so many ways with our journey and looking back there is no explanation for our successes but HIM!
